For this reason, those who have visited Lanzarote during the month of April have been in for a good time. The International Festival of Film has brought films for all tastes to the island. On this occasion, the Lanzarote International Film Festival celebrated its 18th birthday, and it pulled out all the stops. A variety of productions were shown, with documentaries, short films, fiction and feature films… Additionally, in order to feature this local industry, a space was also reserved for films made in the Canaries.

Just like tourism statistics, which continue to rise, the LIFF has also broken records. This year, there were high numbers of registered participants from the most diverse range of nationalities which, no doubt, added another cultural attraction to the island. The task has not been as simple for the judges: of the 3.076 works presented, they have had to choose almost a hundred, and these are the films that are included on the official poster.
